The bike Kevin will be competing on this year is a 2007 Suzuki GSXR 600 K7. It was previously raced by Marty Lennon in the ACU GSXR 600 Cup. These bikes had to be run in standard road trim. Since aquiring the bike, Kevin's main sponsor, Steve Baker, has made several modifications to the bike to make it more competitive. These include the removal of the power valve in the exhaust, Bendix racing brake pads all round, racing brake fluid, 520 chain and sprockets and the Power Commander has been reset on a dyno to compensate for the new exhaust system. With regards to the bodywork, the fogging in around the white areas has been completed and the sponsors graphics have been added. The bike is currently in the original paintwork from the GSXR Cup, but this will be changed in due course to Kevin's traditional yellow, red and black livery, which just happens to be the colours of Steve Baker Motorcycles. |
